Even though Australian coastal winters are not that harsh these pots from Crete are frost resistant, made with top grade clay and fired traditionally using olive pips and grape seeds to over 1150°C. This means they are designed to last as well as being suitable for colder areas, are eminently suitable as water features.
The pots are hand-made employing the same techniques and designs used more than 3000 years ago by the Minoans. The clay has a high mineral content which results in a beautiful light sand colour as well durability and strength. These clay pots from Crete will age beautifully. They will slowly release mineral salts that adds to their individuality. With time moss and algae will colonise the pot. This is part of the natural ageing process for a clay pot. If weathered for many years a beautifully aged patina will evolve.

How It Works
Sometimes things don't go to plan, therefore we are happy to offer either a refund, exchange or credit where goods are faulty, have been wrongly described, or are different to the product purchased on the pod&seed website.
We ask you to please keep in mind our vintage products have had a long life therefore these treasures will always show evidence of that long life. Please read all product descriptions carefully, especially when purchasing from our vintage range as we will have detailed any flaws, marks or defects that may be present due to the age of the product.
Please choose carefully as we do not normally give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision when ordering any of our product range.
